ā€œ "Dad, are you sure about this? I mean, how am I supposed to help friends if I can't fight?"
"You still know how to fight."
"But I'm better with a sword."
"Then, as a teacher and a lover of history, maybe I can inspire you with a quote. [...] Napoleon said, "There are only two forces in the world-- the sword, and the spirit. In the long run, the sword will always be conquered by the spirit."

Trivia[]

  • This episode refers to a conversation between Kira and Ken Yukimura, where he told her that the power of the spirit is always stronger than the power of the sword in order to remind her that she is worth more to the pack than just her ability to fight. This quote is attributed to Napoleon Bonaparte.
  • It is revealed that somehow, Malia took the Desert Wolf's powers during childbirth, which is why the latter is less powerful now and relies on her weapons. Additionally, Alan Deaton revealed that the only way that the Desert Wolf can get her powers back is if she kills Malia on a full moon, which is the only thing that stopped her from killing her in this episode (aside from the appearance of the Beast, that is).
